(ALSO PLEASE VOTE ON THE RIGHT FOR THE BETTER SPEECH!)
A strong point in Romney's speech, in my opinion, was his statement that a mother's job is harder than anything that could be done as a profession. Another strong point would be his belief in women to be able to achieve any career they aspired to have. A weak point I believe there to be in his speech would be his repetition of his congregation in his Church. He may somewhat come off as a radical Christian.
ReplyDeleteRyan's speech's weak point, for me, was that he didn't really say anything what he will do as our Vice President. He rambled on about the flaws of Obama's presidency and what Romney can do to help. A strong point would be the mention of his family. Gives the sense of a family-type to govern America with more care for the people.
A strong point in Clinton’s speech is his talk of change to help students in America with financial problems. A weak point would be that I don’t feel much conviction from his speech. He began to pause around 40 minutes in.
A strong point in Obama’s speech would be his statement of building factories in the US that use less energy and have less impact on the environment. Another strong point would be the power of his voice. It keeps you awake and attentive. A weak point of Obama’s speech would be his smug attitude to his competitor’s premature knowledge of foreign affairs. It seemed condescending.
A strong point of Ryan's speech was talking about his family and small town up bringing. It showed that he really cares about where he came from. Another positive point was when he talked about getting rid of Obama-care to help fix Medicare. A weak point was when he talked about all the problems in America but not how they planned to fix them.
ReplyDeleteA strong point of Romney's speech was how he also talked about his family and the struggles his father went to as a Mexican immigrant, then how he was able to achieve great things. Another positive point was when he spoke about his company Bank Capital. Through that company many big store chains were opened which gave jobs to many Americans.A weak point was when he spoke about all the bad things Obama has done. There was a point where it became a bit much.
A weak point of Clinton's speech was his excessive attacking of the Republican party.A strong point of his speech was when he spoke about the jobs and how they were able to get more manufacturing jobs. Another strong point was when he spoke about lowering student loans and how they want to get student debt dependent on a person's salary.
Strong points in Ryan's speech was how he spoke of Obamas silent records of his birth certificate, Ryan also brought up alot about small towns and small businesses. Ryan constantly included how he was from a small town and how now small buisnesses have no money. Another strong point was how Ryan said how just one president caused the US five trillion dollars in debt. A weak point in Ryan's speech was how he did not really mention what he would do for the future
ReplyDeleteStrong points in Romneys speech were how he brought up the immagrants who came to this country for freedom and being able to create their own buisness. Another strong point was how Romney is very family orientated by constantly mentioning his family and how he grew up in a small town. Weak points in Romneys speech was how he did not really mention what he plans on improving if he becomes president
Strong points in Clintons speech was how he is for the middle class and was focused on the middle class during his speech. But weak points in Clintons speech was how he was constantly bashing the Republican party. Clinton also sort of controdicted himself when he talked about the "fighting" going on with Republicans and Democrats but half of his speech was himself putting down the Republican party and making negative comments
strong points in Ryans speech was when he brought up his family, and gave us a background on the small town in which in was brought up in. Ryan was also very sportive of woman and their careers, he felt that woman can peruse and career that the set their mind to. a weak part in Ryans speech was that he didn't really touch upon how he was going to fix the problems being faced in america.
ReplyDeletestrong points in Romneys speech was that he made it known that he was very family oriented, whereas, he talked about the difficulties that his father faced as an immigrant. A weak point in Romneys speech was when he didn't quite mention the improvements that hw is going to make in America as president
strong points in clintons speech were that he touched upon how he was lower the cost of student loans for students trying to receive a good education. he also talked about how there is going to be an increase in the work field for manufacturing jobs. a weak pint in his speech was that he kept talking about the republicans party and all the negative that came along with it.
Ryan'speech: was very hard to listen to because he was more involved about what Obama has been doing 4 years of his presidency and his mistakes that affected our country dearly and saying how our economic was worse as ever before. What was more interesting was his idea's of becoming president was how he wants t stop the Obama care, protecting generations of children, and have 12 million new jobs for the next 4 years, and his PLEDGE of how " we will lead", that we will not blame others , and will take responsibly, working together to make our country as stronger and healthier and powerful country as ever before, and to make our economic stronger!
ReplyDeleteRomney's speech: In my opinion, I was very involved to hear what he wanted to do with our country, and the ideas he have in mind will help our country was but giving out children the education they need, create 12 million jobs for the people, and Romney has a 5 step plan to fix our country ( which is a great idea!)and replacing the Obama care plan, and will not increase the taxes on the middle class, and to protect our marriage, our religion and our freedom, and most of all to protect our family and our children with generation. I agree with his ideas, but the thing i wasn't happy was he wasn't powerful enough as Obama was.
Obama speech: was focused on the future and to make products in america,by 2020 to cut oil imports, troops will be coming home in 2014, and money spent in dept and less on war, and reform tax codes. but the things is, he promised that to us, and everything else , but the thing i did like most about his speech he was very powerful, and loved how he did it.
Bill Clinton: he was very powerful, and he encouraged the people. He was so involved in middle class , and the most important that he made it clear to have more jobs, to make our country stronger!
Ryan's speech: Paul Ryan focused on pointing out all the problems in Obama's presidency. For example when he says that Obama has brought five trillion dollars of debt. Ryan also doesn't say much about how he and Romney will fix the economy in the future.
ReplyDeleteRomney's speech: Mitt Romney's strong point was when he mentioned his plan to make 12 million new jobs. The five step plan to fixing the economy, with one of the steps making the U.S an energy independent country by 2020. A week point is that although he mentioned the plan, he didn't talk about how he would go through with it.
Clinton's speech: A point in Clinton's speech that caught my attention was when he said that when times are rough both parties will come together and work through it because constant conflict between parties doesn't solve anything. "Why does cooperation work better than constant conflict?Because nobody’s right all the time, and a broken clock is right twice a day." Another point was when he speaks about healthcare and how Romney wants to cut MedicAid by a third over the next 10 years, which would hurt medicare for families with a low income.
I thought that both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan had very good speeches. Romney discussed some very important topics such as jobs and families. Ryan had some weak points which included him talking about what president Obama has not done so far. He did not really mention to often what he would do if elected but he did discuss some important topics. Romney also talked about what he could have done in some of president Obamas situations but overall he had a pretty good speech. Jobs were brought up very often and that was strong points of both Romneys and Ryans speeches. I would rate Romneys speech a 9 and Ryans speech a 8. Overall they both spoke very well.
ReplyDeleteMIT Romney centralized his speech on family and how we should have a hopeful future. The nation should have been paying off national debts so that young Americans could get ahead and put money away or pay off loans. He stressed that we voted for change such as this and what Americans deserved. He got people realizing the problems that occurred over the last four years and how we should have been moving forward. Blatant issues that Americans want to see a fix such as gas prices and poverty were touched upon. MIT has a plan to created 12 million new jobs.
ReplyDeleteRyan was strong in that he validated an issue that is live today about how our students that have studied for years now cannot find a job. Without a change in leadership he asked why would the next four years be any different. I liked how he can relate to many Americans with family and kids and that there is a much more sympathetic view. I would have liked if he would have told us what his plans were going to be.
Clinton was strong in that he would lower student loans and increase job spots. He rebutted Romney and Ryan's speech saying that they would do what has already been done. He really put down the republican party and did not really stick up for himself.
Romney's speech: I thought that the Romney speech contained more down points then it did strong points. Romney never addressed the War in Afghanistan which would be used against him by his counterpart President Obama. He also failed to gear his speech in my opinion towards the middle class. But he is a great public speech so he did keep the people involved and he talked about the future. He showed his strive for change which he hopes to implement but he never really revealed his policy.
ReplyDeleteRyan's Speech: This was a very interesting speech and one I was waiting for because I had never seen Paul Ryan live speaking in front of the public. I was pleasantly surprised because he is a great speaker and a very smart individual. He talked a lot about the future and concentrated on the negatives of Obama's four year term. A negative with his speech was he never really told us how he would implement change similar to Romney. There are still a lot of question marks in his policy's and plans.
Clinton's speech: This was a wildcard speech if there was one. This speech was meant to draw in the voters who were at question wither to vote for Obama but had voted for Clinton when he became President. Clinton showed how Obama had improved the mistakes he had made and the Presidents before Obama had made this was a vital speech for the Obama Campaign
Speech Ratings:
Clinton:8
Ryan:9
Romney:7
Obama:8
Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan made strong points on what Obama has failed to do and strongly criticized what he has, however Both Clinton and Obama were better public speakers. The Democrats pleaded the people to give Obama another chance. While the Republicans insisted that Obama has forgotten about the elderly and American family. Both parties had strong following but it seemed Obama received a bigger ovation the Romney. It is hard to tell who will win this election because all of the speakers had strong points and mudslinging was bountiful.
ReplyDeletePaul Ryan speaks of His family and homegrown America rising up to take back our economic prosperity. He believes that Obama is sinking us further into debt and is moving us in the wrong direction. He does a lot of mudslinging towards the democrats and points out that The Democrats have been given enough time and have not completed their job.
ReplyDeleteMitt Romney of course has similar beliefs and ideas as Paul Ryan. He believes in a more limited government and seems to believe in the trickle-down economy. He talks about Steve Jobs and his success with Apple, and how we need to keep fighting to bring back our economy, that even when we fail we must keep trying. Romney speaks of stores that he has helped start such as Staples and Sports authority. He says these are "American success story" and we need should celebrate success.
Bill Clinton speaks about Obamas presidency as all the improvement he could give in four years. He says that although we are not all better we are better off then we were, and Obama therefor deserves more time. He contradicts Romney in saying that limited government is not the answer and the republican tax cuts are what will hurt the American economy. He blames the republican government prior to Obamas presidency for Obamas hardships as Presidents. He believes that if the Republicans are put back into office the economy will stop its progression.
Paul Ryans speech had alot to do with what Obama did wrong and the promises he didnt fulfill. He also was very family oriented and proud of who he was and were he came from. He talk alot about what was wrong with America and what needed to be fixed but not how to fix it.
ReplyDeleteMitt Romney spoke alot about how America should have hope for the future and a main goal being to help families. He also stated he wouldnt raise taxes on the middle class. He spoke alot about doing more for the younger generations. He also spoke about how we should keep America a free country, and rely on oursleves. He spoke alot abouth helping families and making us a stronger countru together. He has a plan but he doesnt speak alot about how he plans on using it.
Bill Clinton speaks about Obama and all the good he has done in the country. he wants to build a new American economy on creativity, education and cooperation. He spoke about what the rebulicans think about the democrats. His idea of "we are all in this together is better than the philosphy than you're on your own." is a very good statement in his speech. He made a good strong point of lowering students loans and increasing jobs, and doing more to help the economy. Admits not to hate republicans like they hate President Obama. Focus on solid problems and seizing opportunites. He talked about how bad republicans are, and how much they don't agree on anything. He talked about medicare issues and what each amount of money is spent on and how important it is.
In each speech they had some very good points on certain topics. Each person had faults of their speech and focused a little too much on what was wrong with the other party than more of fixing the actual issues.
Ryans speech had strong points was when he brought up his family, and gave us a background on the small town in which in was brought up in. Another great point was when he talked about getting rid of Obama-care to help fix Medicare. A weak point was when he talked about all the problems but not how hell planned to fix them.
ReplyDeleteStrong points in Romneys speech was when he brought up the immagrants who came to this country for freedom and being able to create their own buisness. another good point was when he spoke about his company Bank Capital. which gave jobs to many Americans. His weak point is he didn't mention the improvements that how is going to become president.
clintion is a great speaker. He encouraged the people. He was so involved in middle class . Also Another good point was when he speaks about healthcare and how Romney wants to cut MedicAid by a third over the next 10 years, which would hurt medicare for families with a low income. His weak point is when he kept talking about the kept talking about the republicans party.
In my opinion, a strong point of Romney's speech is his belief that Women can achieve anything as a career in life. Also another strong point in Romney's speech is when he talked about his family and the struggles his father faced when he was a Mexican immigrant and how he was able to achieve many great things in life. Another strong point in Romney's speech is when he said he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class. Although Obama, raised taxes on the middle class. I think Romney is right because raising taxes on the middle class is not a good thing because we go to work everyday and pay enough bills. A weak point in his speech is when he mentions Obama. Another weak point in his speech is that he didn't really mention his life-time goals as a President, like Obama did.
ReplyDeleteA strong point in Ryan's speech, in my opinion is that he talked about his family. Another strong point in Ryan's speech is that he was very determined to become President. He points out alot of things that are wrong with America and plans to change it but doesn't mention how. He also wants to stop the Obama care and strength medicare. A weak point in Ryan's speech is that he talks about Obama alot. He focused alot on Obama's problems. Another weak point in his speech is that he really didn't mention what he would do as President.
In my opinion, a strong point in Clinton's speech is that he speaks about Obama and all he did for America. Also he wants to build a brand new American Economy based on education, cooperation and creativity. Another strong point in Clinton's speech is that he would lower all students loans and increase more job offerings. A weak point in Clinton's speech is that he mentions too much about the Republican party and says negative comments towards that party.
A strong point in Obama's speech is that he was very focused on the future and his life-time goals as president. He wants to cut oil imports. Also another strong point in Obama's speech is that he say's that the troops will be coming home from the war in the year of 2014. A weak point in Obama's speech is his attitude towards the other party.
A strong point in Ryan's speech was how he mentioned his family. It showed how he cared about them and how he wants other families in America to be just as happy. A weak point would be how he talked negatively about Obama. He talked about Obama Care and how he wants it to end.
ReplyDeleteA strong point in Romney's speech was how he talked about middle class issues. He mentioned how businesses should've expanded and were open to hire more people and offer more jobs. Romney mentioned how college graduates should've been able to find a job and pay off some loans. He feels that those people deserve those things. A weak point would be how he criticizes Obama's actions and decisions as of what he has done during his presidency.
A strong point in Clinton's speech would be how he wants more jobs for people. He feels more people should be hired. A weak point would be in my opinion I thought he was repeating himself on how Obama is a good president and how he will keep being successful.
The strong point in Ryan's speech was the Family part, when he mentions he wants every family to be happy. The strong point in Romney's speech was how he mentioned the job situation we have in America, and he plans to fix it. The week points in both Romney's and Ryan's speech were how they kept mentioning Obama's mistakes and how he failed.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand Clinton's speech was about the good Obama has done, he never mentions anything negative in his speech. He plans to get us out of the unemployment situation, and lower student loans, and just fix the mess we are in. In my opinion he had the best speech because he never put down the president and he talked about how he would get us out of this economical mess.
