DON'T FORGET TO STUDY THE PREAMBLE OF THE CONSTITUTION!
I think that the British parliament is a lot more energetic then the U.S parliament because the prime minister went to speak in the first video the relpublican speaker would just cut him off and basically telling him to be quiet. In the second video it was all just questions and answers from the prime minister but you could still hear the republican party yelling at the prime minister.
ReplyDeleteIn both of the videos the speakers both had some points that the crowd liked and did not like. There was a mix of boos and cheers. The speakers talked about the future and what they would like to do.
ReplyDeletei think that the british parlament is much more free and un uniform then the US. there is much more free speackin and loud arguements .. aslo i think that one of the issues being brought up is similar to that of this campagin .. where a party wishes to lower taxes for the wealthy.
ReplyDeleteI think that both sides want to get their point across. They both want to be heard and have their questions answered. All they want is to win the argument. In both videos when one person is speaking, people from the other side just scream and boo the opposing party. Also when someone gives their opinion, their side is just cheering the whole time. It is hard to hear what the person has to say.
ReplyDeleteI think that both sides want a say in the arguments. They both want to get their points across to the crowd. In both videos, there was alot of screams and boos when each speaker spoke. It became harder to hear what each speaker had to say. Also there was alot more action taking place in the British Parliament video. Their arguments were much louder than the Us Parliament. Also a main issue that was brought up was taxes. They wanted their taxes to be lowered.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen anything like this before. This is very different from how we conduct our events. When we have elections and other votes people basically just listen to what the speaker has to say. It was interesting to see how the whole crowd was getting involved and giving their thoughts right then and there. They were able to express and get involved in the decisions that were being decided on. Overall I thought that the British parliament videos made me realize how other parts of the world conduct thier events in order to achieve something. This is very different from our ways and history of doing things.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I felt they are disrespectful-yelling and screaming when the prime minister was talking-to me it was hard to understand because of their strong accents-They dont cive each other a chance to ask or answer the question-instead they create an atmosphere of chaos in order to take away from the issues at hand-and lastly where were the women and other races of people-I am so glad I live in the united states.
ReplyDeletei really never seen something like that before. This is totally different from what we do . i thought it was intersting that the crowd had a say in it. i like how they seprated it . people on browns side and camerons side. people have different views . so they have the right. These views made me notice that other countries do things different.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked how these people don't give each other a chance, i see children talking instead of adults. It is interesting how they fight with one another, the British are very different then the united states parliaments! When they give their opinions to one another, they don't care what the other one say. To me they are fighting like cats and dogs! They should have more respect instead of over talking the other one out!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I think that the first video I watched with the British Parliament was very unprofessional and unlikely. The people were very rude when the men were speaking. This would not happen in the United States if lets say the president, or vice president was talking, or anyone important for that matter. Also, the men speaking were nt talking about any way that they were going to help their economy or country get better. I feel that the second video the men sitting and listening to what the senators were saying were just bashing on how the prime minsitor is not doing what he is suppose to do and how the government is getting worse.
ReplyDeleteI never thought i would witness a debate like that. They were very humorous when talking to one another, as well as, there was a lot of fighting going on back and forth. Each side has no desire to hear what the other side was going to say, instead they would just bash them and let down any ideas or concerns that they had on a certain situation. overall i feel that something like this would never take place in the United States, this shows us how different some governments around the world differ from one another.
ReplyDeleteI really thought it was funny how presented their ideas about laws to one another, they were actually going around and talking like real people instead of robots, but that aside the law making procedure in the parliament seems were cluttered and unorganized. You could not hear most people as they were getting their ideas across and a lot of people were talking over other people so it was hard to hear them. Aside from that they seem to make laws from that little show, so to each his own.
ReplyDeleteThe British Parliament does things a lot different than America. They were yelling back and forth a bunch and there wasn't much order to the meeting. They disagreed on many topics such as the use of money and how it shouldn't be given to the wealthiest people of the country. The meeting was very humorous. Multiple times you could see members of Parliament laughing at what was going on. I'm not really sure how they are able to effectively work like this. It seemed like nobody could really get a word in edgewise. If this is how Congress held their meetings I believe the US would be in even more trouble than we are now.
ReplyDeleteThe British do things much differently then the Americans. Their debates are so much more entertaining to watch. I actually laughed at some parts during both debates. It's better then some comedy i've seen. I wonder how effective this is with the public, do people vote for the better argument or for the funnier person.
ReplyDeleteWhile watching these two videos I thought it was so funny how everyone just blurts out whatever they want. I thought it was cool how people in the crowd could say what they want and the people can express themselves. I feel like when it was time for the Prime minister to talk they let him talk but at moments the house would talk when they thought it was okay. I wish the U.S would do this!
ReplyDeleteThe Parliament debates are a lot more interesting than American debates. They show more of an exciting reaction and have to have a response quickly. They were very humorous, many members were laughing throughout the debate. The surrounding people were very loud and obnoxious, this would never happen in the United States. For example when the President is giving a speech everyone listens to his ideas and thoughts instead of yelling over him. It was interesting to see how the whole crowd was able to get involved with asking questions, and interfering in the debate itself.
ReplyDeleteThe structure of the British Parliament is how the U.S. congress should work. This way of government gives the opportunity for good ideas to materialize and bad ones be shot down. The open setting gives up and coming senators to be heard and also exposes weak ideas and leaders.
ReplyDeleteBritish Parliament has very different ways of debating social issues then U.S. Congress. The House of Commons and House of Lords are more like rowdy court rooms, than meetings to discuss government issues. This style of government holds many flaws, as many leaders are not able to get their ideas in. However, the support for an idea is established right in the debate room, there is no in between.
ReplyDeleteThis style of government seems very childish and outdated; but history shows parliament's style to be more successful in tackling government issues.

ReplyDeleteEveryone in the video is humorous about whats going on and keep on interupting the speaker. Everyone is quick and onpoint with a comeback.Alot of the cross-examination going on which madkes everyone more exicting for all.The U.S has to try this out.

I find it interesting with the way that the British debate each other. These videos show how different they are from Americans. But I think they are similar in a way because you can consider one side democrats and the other republicans and some even being independent.
ReplyDeleteI found this really funny, I think it would be like that if we ain't have all these laws and regulations about being quiet during political debates etc. I would want to do that it looks like a real debate instead of the boring stuff we get
ReplyDeleteWell i think that there was no order in the court. The crowd was very noisy. It was very different from the US parliament. It was rather annoying to watch. I felt like it was a whole bunch of little toddlers screaming. (I already hear that enough at my baby moms crib) lol
ReplyDeleteI think that there was not much order being kept in the court. It seems very different from our court and to be honest less boring. It seems like people are more into the debate and continue to show new ideas. It also seems very unique because it gives a group of people the opportunity to express there opinions and show what side they are on.
